Pressure is mounting from other countries for the United States to relax its trade embargo against Cuba, which has been in effect against the communist country for nearly 50 years.

President Barack Obama recently signed legislation that eases travel restrictions for Cuban-Americans visiting relatives in Cuba. Limits on how long those visitors can stay in Cuba were also relaxed in the bill.

Cubans say the eased restrictions will give a boost to Cuban businesses. However, some Cuban-Americans say the changes would primarily benefit the communist government of Cuba which owns an estimated 90 percent of businesses there.

What do you think? should the United States take steps to relax the embargo against communist Cuba and move toward resuming trade relations with the island country?
