Register to win tickets to Dallas Cowboys game

The Progress Times has teamed up with Turn Key Tours again this fall to put together a Dallas Cowboy game package giveaway.

The package for two persons includes motor coach transportation to Dallas, Cowboys lower level game tickets for Thanksgiving Day (Dallas vs New York Jets), one night hotel stay, pre-game and post-game tailgate party, game day breakfast and drinks and snacks in transit.

To register, clip the official entry form in the Progress Times and take it to any of four locations, including El Patio Restaurant, MCM Sporting Goods, Wal-Mart Supercenter at Palmhurst, and Mission Plaza Pharmacy (all locations). All entries must be submitted on the official entry form or facsimile thereof. No purchase is necessary to enter. Must be at least 18 years of age to win and only one entry per person is permitted at each location. However, contestants can register at all four registration locations. A winner will be drawn at random from the entries submitted.

Turn Key Tours of McAllen specializes in sporting events game packages. In addition to the Dallas Cowboys games, they also offer trips to see the San Antonio Spurs, Houston Astros and the NASCAR races, among others.

Owner Mary Kent said when she and her husband, Arnold, started Turn Key Tours five years ago, “We wanted to offer our customers something special.” A big part of that is providing flight attendant-like service on the bus when travelling to and from the games. They also try to make the trip itself fun and entertaining by not only providing drinks and refreshments but also holding prize giveaways and raffles to generate some fun and excitement.

“Customer service for us is number one,” she said. “We go on every trip. Being there as an owner, we’re hands-on to make sure everything goes right,” she added.

Sometimes she is able to arrange a visit by some of the starting players. “They will come by the hotel to visit with our group and do autographs. It depends on the availability of the players,” Kent said. This isn’t part of the package, but Kent’s customers love it when it happens.

“A lot of our charters tend to be private charters,” Kent said. T-Mobile and other large companies are the typical customers for private charters.
