Patty Bazaldua seeking term on MCISD Board
Patty Bazaldua is a wife, a mother and a business woman; and is seeking candidacy for Mission CISD School Board, Place 5.
Bazaldua grew up in Mission, graduating from Mission High School in 1984.
In 1991 she married her sweetheart, lifelong Mission resident, Mario Bazaldua Jr., and together they have two children, Carlos “Charlie” Esteban, 15, and Jamie Daniel, 10 who both attend the Mission CISD school district.
Being able to provide the best educational opportunities to her children is important to her and making sure that they have an appropriate educational environment is vital, she said.
“Safety, high standards and funding are a few issues that, as a parent, we need to focus on,” said Bazaldua.
For the past nine years Bazaldua has been an active Parent Volunteer at Mims Elementary School and Parent Volunteer at Mission Junior High. She is involved with SBDM, as a community liaison representative for Mission Junior High School and serves as a parent volunteer for GEAR-UP at Veterans Memorial High School. Currently, she serves as PTO vice president at Mims Elementary and PTO president at Veterans Memorial High School. Her service to those organizations stems from wanting to be a part of her children’s educational growth. She believes that being actively involved will make a difference.
Professionally, she owns and operates Platinum Productions. In 1999, she had a vision to bring back the Miss Mission Pageant, offering young woman in the community an opportunity for further community involvement and growth.
Prior to her venture as an entrepreneur, she worked seven years in the international industrial marketing and public relations arena.
All this is yesterday, what Bazaldua believes is needed in today’s school board is a fresh start and a new vision working to provide a brighter future for our children. She also believes that it is imperative that our school board work in unison with all educators and administration to create the best educational system possible for the children of Mission. She has dedicated 15 years to caring for her children; and she will care for your children too, her prepared statement says.
“Our children, our schools, our future, join me, in an effort to bring Mission CISD back together. It’s time for change; it’s for our children.”
