NOTICE
OF TAX REVENUE INCREASE

     The City of Peñitas will conduct public hearings on September 14, 2012 and September 18, 2012 on a proposal to increase the total tax revenues of the City of Peñitas from properties on the tax roll in the preceding year by 35.36 percent.

     The total tax revenue proposed to be raised last year at last year's tax rate of $0.3625 for each $100 of taxable value was $514,149.

     The total tax revenue proposed to be raised this year at the proposed tax rate of $0.4620 for each $100 of taxable value, excluding tax revenue to be raised from new property added to the tax roll this year, is $656,204.

     The total tax revenue proposed to be raised this year at the proposed tax rate of $0.4620 for each $100 of taxable value, including tax revenue to be raised from new property added to the tax roll this year, is $677,966.

     The City Council of City of Peñitas is scheduled to vote on the tax rate that will result in that tax increase at a public meeting to be held September 25, 2012 at 1320 South Main, Peñitas, Texas 78576 at 06:00 PM.

The Mission City Council will hold a regular meeting on September 24, 2012 at 4:30 p.m. at the City Hall Council Chambers, 1201 East 8th Street, Mission, Texas in order to consider the following:
Rezoning: A 240.43’ x 196.76’ tract out of Lot 108, Sharyland Orchards Subdivision, from (R1-A) Large Lot Single Family Residential to  (C-1) Office Building.
If a zoning is amended during the public hearing, it shall be pursuant to the City of Mission’s Amendatory Zone Policy Statement. Anyone interested is invited to attend.

AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY TO THE CITY OF ALTON DEVELOPMENT  CORPORATION, MAKING CERTAIN FINDING, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF THE CITY OF ALTON TO EXECUTE ANY AND ALL DOCUMENTS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THE SALE OF THE REAL PROPERTY, WAIVING A SECOND AND THIRD READING; AND PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY CLAUSE.

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF ALTON, TEXAS, (“CITY”) APPROVING A NEGOTIATED RESOLUTION BETWEEN CITY AND TEXAS GAS SERVICE (“TGS” OR “THE COMPANY”) REGARDING THE COMPANY’S MAY 1, 2012 COST OF SERVICE ADJUSTMENT (“COSA”) FILING AND JUNE 26, 2012 STATEMENT OF INTENT (“SOI”) FILING; DECLARING EXISTING RATES TO BE UNREASONABLE; ADOPTING TARIFFS THAT REFLECT RATE ADJUSTMENTS CONSISTENT WITH THE NEGOTIATED SETTLEMENT AND FINDING THE RATES TO BE SET BY THE SOI FILED TARIFFS TO BE JUST AND REASONABLE; PROVIDING FOR THE RECOVERY OF THE CITY’S REASONABLE AND NECESSARY RATE CASE EXPENSES; ADOPTING A SAVINGS CLAUSE; DETERMINING THAT THIS ORDINANCE WAS PASSED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE TEXAS OPEN MEETINGS ACT; DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE; REPEALING ANY PRIOR ORDINANCES INCONSISTENT WITH THIS ORDINANCE; AND REQUIRING DELIVERY OF THIS ORDINANCE TO THE COMPANY AND THE CITY’S LEGAL COUNSEL, WAIVING SECOND AND THIRD READING.
