Small Taxing Unit Notice

    The CITY OF SULLIVAN CITY will hold a meeting at 6:00 PM on September 17, 2012 at 500 CENIZO  DRIVE, SULLIVAN CITY, TEXAS to consider adopting a proposed tax rate for tax year 2012. The proposed tax rate is 0.3818 per $100 of value.

   The proposed tax rate would increase total taxes in City of Sullivan   City by 7.98%.

NOTICE OF INTENT TO ISSUE

CITY OF PEÑITAS, TEXAS

CERTIFICATES OF OBLIGATION, SERIES 2012

    TAKE NOTICE that the Board of Aldermen (the “City Council”) of the City of Peñitas, Texas (the “City”), shall tentatively convene at 6 o'clock p.m. on the 2nd day of October, 2012, at its regular meeting place in the City Council meeting room at 1 mile South FM 1427, Texas and during such meeting, the City Council will consider the passage of an ordinance authorizing the issuance of certificates of obligation in an amount not to exceed $2,250,000 for the purpose of paying contractual obligations of the City to be incurred to construct a wastewater treatment facility and collection system and payment of cost of issuance of such certificates of obligation.  The certificates of obligation will be payable from the City's ad valorem tax within the limits authorized by law on all taxable property of the City and a limited pledge of $1,000 from the net revenues from the operation of the City's waterworks and sewer system. The Certificates of Obligation are to be issued, and this notice is given, under and pursuant to the provisions of the Certificates of Obligation Act of 1971, as amended, Local Government Code Section 271.041 through Section 271.063.
