ORDINANCE NO. 3703
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF MISSION, TEXAS PROVIDING FOR TRAFFIC CONTROL AS FOLLOWS: THAT NO VEHICLE MAY PROEED AT A SPEED IN EXCESS OF FORTY-FIVE (45) MILES PER HOUR ON MILITARY PARKWAY, BETWEEN THE 100 BLOCK OF WEST MILITARY PARKWAY AND THE 1100 BLOCK OF WEST MILITARY HIGHWAY PARKWAY, TO INCLUDE BETWEEN 2200 BLOCK OF WEST MILITARY PARKWAY AND THE 4100 BLOCK OF WEST MILITARY PARKWAY; PROVIDING FOR THE INSTALLATION OF SAID TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES AND PROPER SIGNAGE THEREOF AND MAKING PROVISIONS OF THE STATE TRANSPORTATION CODE AND TRAFFIC ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF MISSION IN REGARD TO PENALTY FOR VIOLATION APPLICABLE THERETO:
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MISSION, TEXAS THAT:
SECTION 1: No vehicle may proceed at a speed in excess of:
a. Forty-five (45) miles per hour while traveling east or west on Military Parkway between the 100 block of West Military Parkway and the 1100 block of West Military Parkway.
b. Forty-five (45) miles per hour while traveling east or west on Military Parkway between the 2200 block of West Military Parkway and the 4100 block of West Military Parkway.
SECTION 2: The proper devices shall be installed in accordance with the standards adopted by the State Department of Highways and Public Transportation.
SECTION 3: The provisions of the State Transportation Code and the Traffic Ordinances of the City of Mission shall be applicable in regard to penalties for violation of said traffic control devices and signs.
SECTION 4: This ordinance shall become effective when said signage is installed and when it has been published as prescribed by law.
