The Lower Rio Grande Valley Development Council (LRGVDC) is advertising for the following position:
Technician III - Criminal Justice
Base Salary Range: $12.00-$15.00 Hourly
Type of Position: Regular Part-Time (29 Hours Weekly)
DUTIES: This individual will be working under the direction of the Homeland Security Director. Provide staff support to program administrator and Criminal Justice Advisory Committee or groups as may be assigned. Prepare the appropriate reports, documentation, and plans. Maintain current knowledge of laws, regulations, assistance programs, and financing methods in a variety of subject areas related to department programs through research and study new procedures and guidelines. Attend workshops, seminars, and agency organizational meetings. Plan and organize workshops and training.
QUALIFICATIONS: Applicant must demonstrate proficiency in both oral and written communication skills, good office skills and working knowledge of the latest computer systems and software (Microsoft Office 2003 - 2007, Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint, Outlook), prioritization skills, planning, organizing and carrying out MULTIPLE administrative tasks and projects, and be able to adapt to a fast-paced working environment.
