NOTICE OF VACANCY

The Lower Rio Grande Valley Development Council (LRGVDC) is advertising for the following position:

Planner I
(Economic Development)
Base Salary Range:   $28,000-$35,000 Annually
                               ($2,333-$2,916 Monthly)

DUTIES: Provide assistance as directed in the department and organizing of overall activities of the regional council’s Economic Development and assists local, state and federal government agencies, area elected officials, banks, private firms, small businesses, and general public. Working with rural communities and disaster recovery programs.

QUALIFICATIONS: High school graduate, or its equivalent, plus at least four (4) years of office work experience or any equivalent combination of experience and education. Business management or economic development experience preferred. Experience in grant writing and/or commercial real estate and small business lending.
