NOTICE OF VACANCY
The Lower Rio Grande Valley Development Council (LRGVDC) is advertising for the following position:
GIS Specialist/Planner I
(Temporary Full –Time position)
LOCATION: LRGVDC- 301 W. Railroad Street
SALARY: $28,000-$50,000
DUTIES: Manage and prioritize capital improvement projects; for improving infrastructure; and create and develop a “Regional Centralized Database” for the Economic Development Department. Will provide grant administration services and technical assistance to cities, counties, economic development organization, contractors, federal, state, and local government officials. Plans, organizes and implements economic development activities and will assist with the preparation and completion of the “Regional Economic Adjustment Plan”. Will conduct grant research and grant writing for potential projects. Must have basic applications, (using Arc Info/Arc View and CAD) and required. Establish and maintain members, city and county staff, economic development groups and organizations, and the general public. The ability to communicate in English and Spanish are a plus.
