The Rio Grande Valley Wing of the Commemorative Air Force will hold its annual air show in the skies above Brownsville this Saturday and Sunday, March 24 to 25. Planes from the eras of World War II and Vietnam will be part of this year’s air acrobatics at the Brownsville Airport. An estimated 5000 to 10,000 people attend the show annually.
From the World War II era, a P-5T fighter, Wildcat fighter, B-25 Bomber, AT-6 trainer, PT-17 Trainer, PT-22 Trainer, and a PT- 26 Trainer are part of the show’s line-up. Vietnam era plans will include an A-1 Skyraider, a Hughy Helicopter, a Cessna 0-2, Cessna L-19, an A-26 Bomber and a Russian Mig.
