Grupo Solido headlines festival

20120504_SolidoCity of San Juan announces this year’s Cinco de Mayo music lineup, including the presentation of the festival’s headliner, international Norteño superstars Grupo Solido, who will be performing at the San Juan Municipal Park’s Center Stage on Saturday, May 5.

Grupo Solido, from Rio Grande City, won the 2002 Grammy Award for Best Tejano Album for “Nadie Como Tu.” The band is comprised of three brothers and three family friends and known for their romantic take on Norteño music. The music line up that day will be filled with the best talent of the region.

The Cinco de Mayo Festival is an all-day event. This year’s Cinco de Mayo Festival includes family activities: a cook-off, children’s rides and activities, and food booths.
