On Saturday, Feb. 19, the City of McAllen and the McAllen Chamber of Commerce will host a Mexican Sister City Event at the McAllen Convention Center. It will be hosted at the McAllen Convention Center Exhibit Hall B at 1 p.m.
The event is part of the City’s Centennial celebrations planned for this year. Mexican officials and their delegations will bring top tier performers for the community to enjoy.
Among the Mexican cities attending are Taxco, Irapuato, Tampico, Reynosa, Cadereyta, Rio Bravo and Veracruz.
Professional Folkloric dancers and singers will entertain the community with their skills and cultural roots. Local talent from McAllen will enrich the program with American dances and music.
The celebration will be honored by the live performance of renowned Tejano Music Singer and Grammy Winner Michael Salgado.
The event is free which makes this a great opportunity to join the celebration and witness some of the best of Mexico and Texas Performers.
