SAN BENITO – After heavy rains called a halt to ResacaFest last month, organizers rescheduled the event for Saturday, July 14, 2-11 p.m.
Live music, food and family-styled fun will be capped with a fireworks exhibit over the Resaca at 10 p.m. The public is invited to participate in this community event.
Fun-filled activities will commence at 2 p.m. at the W.H. Heavin Amphitheater Park. Live entertainment will include country, classic, pop and Tejano music in a continuous venue, and arts and crafts booths will feature collectibles and crafts. A children’s play area will be open for the kids.
Also scheduled is a health and wellness area with medical personnel on hand to offer free testing for various ailments and offer advice for healthier living styles. A classic/custom motorcycle show is also planned at the festival site. Great foods and drinks will be available for purchase from vendors, and a beer garden will be open for adults only.
For more information or for vendor information, please call 361-3804, ext. 301. W.H. Heavin Ampitheater Park is located at 705 N. Bowie St..
