‘Super Circus Heroes’ opens July 17 at State Farm Arena

20140627 Ringling-Bros-circusHIDALGO – The “Greatest Show on Earth,” Ringling Brothers Barnum & Bailey Circus, presents their next show to Valley audiences, “Super Circus Heroes.” It opens July 17 and runs through July 20 for five performances.

Performances are 7:30 p.m. on Thursday and Friday; 2:30 and 6:30 p.m. on Saturday; and 2:30 p.m., Sunday.

To “become” Super Circus Heroes, families are welcomed to the arena floor an hour before show time to participate in the interactive super hero training camp at the All Access Pre-show Super Hero Party. The League of Super Circus Heroes will teach participants some of their super human skills such as juggling, wire walking and dance routines. Circus fans will also have an opportunity to meet the performers, take pictures and get autographs. Super heroes in training can try on capes and other spectacular costumes and also get an up-close look at a menagerie of exotic animals including camels and elephants.

Ringling Brothers has four touring shows. The Super Circus Heroes line-up of stars includes Brett and Cathy Carden, exotic animal trainers; Clown Alley with Ivan Vargas and Andrew Hicks; Ringmaster David Shipman; Davis Vassallo, clown acrobat; Shaolin Troupe, martial arts; Lightning Rods, hand balancing trio; Lopez Family, high wire and motorcycle globe; Twin Titans, aerial strap duo; and Troup Alegria, teeterboard and Russian barre.

Ticket prices begin at $12 and are available on ticketmaster.com or by calling 800-745-3000. All seats are reserved. Ages two and older must have a ticket. For group rates, call Angie Mercado at 843-5523.
