Sheriff’s office investigates home invasion near La Joya
Three men in ski masks kicked down the front door of a home north of La Joya Tuesday morning, according to a news release from the Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Office. At about 2:20 a.m. in the 17000 block of Washington Palm, a 39-year-old woman said the men came in with a hand gun and demanded money. A 16-year-old Palmview High School student was struck and killed in an auto-pedestrian incident after getting off a bus Monday night.
