20120504_Dallas_CowboysAlexandria Serna Canizalez, held by her mother Claudia Canizalez, was among the surprised children—and surprised parents—who received a special visit from a few Dallas Cowboys players at the Pediatric Unit of Mission Regional Medical Center last Saturday.

Surrounding the mother and daughter are, left to right, Stephen McGee, QB; Philip Tanner, RB; Tony Hill, WR, (1977-1986); Teddy Williams, CB; Brandon Carr, CB; and Jesse Holley, WR. The visit was arranged by Rene Capistran, regional head of The SpawGlass Foundation, and Tony Hill with the Texas Legends Cowboys Stars.

The Cowboys were also in town for a benefit basketball game played at The University of Texas-Pan American last weekend and wanted to extend their reach to the children to brighten their day. “This is why we’re here, to make them smile and have a good day through the sickness and some of the health issues they are facing. It's great to see them smile,” said Hill.
