AUSTIN — CHRISTUS Health, Texas’ largest non-profit health care system, presented Senator Juan “Chuy” Hinojosa with its Eagle Award during an August 9 ceremony. The CHRISTUS Health award is presented each year to a lawmaker who demonstrates outstanding legislative leadership and strong commitment to health care issues.

Hinojosa said it’s important to work toward meeting Texas’ growing health care needs.

The significant challenges facing lawmakers in health care policy require partnerships — to identify and solve the critical hurdles in providing quality care. That CHRISTUS recognizes my contributions speaks more to their ability to partner with lawmakers and work effectively and collaboratively,” Hinojosa said.
