IMG_0996MISSION — Authorities said two men shopping at a local Stripes convenience store last week took off with merchandise the store doesn’t carry – a customer’s vehicle. The Mission Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying the men involved.

On Dec. 17, a customer was outside of the Stripes store located at 909 N. Bryan Rd. when two men, one of them with a gun, took the customer’s keys and left in his vehicle, police said.

The surveillance video shows one of the suspects taking out the gun in front of the car owner who had stepped out of the store to use his phone. The customer handed his keys to the suspects after seeing the gun, the video police showed to media shows.

The men stole a silver Volkswagen four-door sedan.

If anyone has any information about the incident, or can identify the two individuals, call anonymously to Mission Crime Stoppers at 956-581-8477.
