MISSION — Sharyland Independent School District (SISD) parents are reminded that Monday, April 9 is a bad weather make-up day for the district, necessitated by the weather-related closure of schools on March 30.
Students from the Mission Consolidated Independent School District (MCISD) will be made up in June.
April 9 was designated as a bad weather make-up day by SISD trustees when they adopted the school calendar.
SISD schools and district offices in the district will open on that day. Students and staff should report to schools and offices at the normal time.
Meanwhile, MCISD officials received approval to change the bad weather make-up day on the official school calendar. This means students will stikk have the originally planned four-day weekend with April 9 a school holiday.
The day missed on March 30 will be made up on Wednesday, June 6. The final teacher workday for the school year will now be on Thursday, June 7.
