Parents of Mission Consolidated Independent School District students interested in an intra-district transfer for their child to a MCISD school other than the one they are zone to attend, must turn in a completed transfer request by the end of the business day, August 1.
The applications are available at the Mission CISD Central Administrative Offices located at 1201 Bryce Dr. Once completed, the application must be returned to the central office.
Completing the application does not guarantee a transfer. If approved, a transfer agreement must also be executed by the parents of the student, which includes the rules and expectations required for the transfer to remain valid. If the rules and expectations are not met, an intra-district transfer can be revoked.
Factors considered in the approval process include, but are not limited to: the grade level, class or program requirements of the student seeking the transfer, the effect of additional students in that grade or program on class size, staffing and facilities.
Other considerations include: disciplinary record of the student, attendance record of the student and academic record of the student.
MCISD does not provide transportation for transfer students. It will be up to the parent to provide transportation to and from the MCISD school to which the student is assigned in the transfer.
