The library is located at 12th and Kika De La Garza Loop in Mission.

Lisa Rivera, Ccildren’s librarian, wants to see the most outrageous, most original and most appealing costumes at the library on Thursday, Oct. 17, at 6 p.m.   Judging will be in the categories of Most Original, Most Appealing and Best of Show in each of the four grade level categories: Pre-K, Kinder, first and second graders, third and fourth graders and fifth graders.

Participants are to pre-register before the event for further entry guidelines. A prerequisite for each entry is no grotesque or inappropriate costumes allowed. Registrations are ongoing in the department and may be received up to 4 p.m. on the day of the contest.

All activities are free and the public is invited to attend. For more information contact the children’s department at 580-8753.
