pt-square logoArea residents have some tough decisions ahead of them as the city and school board elections draw near, and we at Progress Times want to do what we can to keep voters informed.

The newspaper will host two political forums in the week leading up to early voting:

-Mayoral candidates will sound off at 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 22, at the Speer Memorial Library, 801 E. 12th St. in Mission

-Palmview city commission candidates are scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday, April 26, at the meeting room at the Hidalgo County Pct. 3 offices, 724 N. Breyfogle in Mission.

The community is invited to attend and listen to discussions on the future of Mission and Palmview should each candidate be elected to office.
