LA JOYA—Mayor Jose A. “Fito” Salinas and the La Joya Economic Development Board of Directors are working together to stimulate economic growth in the business community of La Joya.
As part of their many efforts, the EDC is offering the Revolving Loan Fund Program funded by the U.S. Department of Agriculture. The Revolving Loan Fund Program was established to assist small businesses to access low interest loans to help with the expansion of a current business or to start a new business.
The minimum loan amount is $10,000 and the maximum is $150,000. These loans may be used for working capital, start-up cost, construction, repair and renovation, purchase of property and purchase of equipment.
The loan program benefits the community by stimulating job creation and business retention.
Anyone interested in applying for a business loan, may contact the Reyna Network 583-7431. Other projects underway are the creation of a Merchants Association Committee and the planning for commercial and housing development.
