MISSION - Arvella Vernet Breitbarth, 88, died Saturday, March 19, 2011, at McAllen Medical Center.
MISSION - Maria I. Borrego Guerrero, 82, passed away on Thursday, March 17, 2011, at Mission Nursing Home.
She was crowned Queen of Amigos del Valle in Elsa, and always enjoyed dancing as well as singing. She will always be remembered for all the crafts she made as gifts for friends and family.
MISSION- Chapel Service for Mario Matamoros will be held Friday, March 4, 2011 at 1 p.m. at Virgil Wilson Memorial Chapel in Mission. Interment will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens in McAllen. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Virgil Wilson Mortuary of Mission.
PALMVIEW – Delia Z. Garcia, 66, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 16, 2011 at her residence in Palmview. Mrs. Garcia was born in Peñitas on January 28, 1944 to Diego and Beatriz Zamora
Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Natividad Garcia; son, Natividad (Melissa) Garcia Jr.; daughters, Naomi (Gerardo) Garza, Nilda (Eladio) Vasquez, Noreen (Rafael) Villarreal, Noelia (Jose Luis) Chapa, and Nadine (Jose) Garcia; and17 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her loving parents and her granddaughter, Ruby Lee Puente.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 18, from 1 to p.m. with a prayer service at 7 p.m. at L&I Memorial Chapel in Peñitas. Chapel service will be held Wednesday, January 19, at 1 p.m. at L&I Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow at Lord and I Cemetery in Palmview.

MISSION - Theresa Gawlik Martin, loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away on Wednesday, January 12, 2011. Mrs. Martin died peacefully with her son and daughter at her side, following a short illness.
