Alicia Nuñez Garcia, 84, fallecio Viernes, 2 de Septiembre de 2011 del año en curso en su residencia en Mission. La señora Garcia nacio el 26 de Junio del año 1927 en Linares, Nuevo Leon, Mexico.

SHARYLAND – Vina Oats, 86, passed away on September 5, 2011, at her residence in Sharyland.
Mrs. Oats is survived by her husband of 64 years, Scott Oats of Sharyland; daughters, Robbie Ault of Sharyland and Peggy Tomlinson of Sharyland; grandchildren, Alexis Ault of Austin, Tommy (Natalie) Tomlinson of Victoria, and Brad (Heather) Tomlinson of Sharyland; and great-grandchildren Brooke, Ashley, Hailey, Lilly, and Reagan.
MISSION - Eugenio Lopez, 56, left to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 6, 2011 at Mission Regional Medical Center. He was born to Eugenio Lopez and Esperanza Rodriguez on December 18, 1954 in Sinaloa, Mexico.
SULLIVAN CITY - Santos Villarreal, 86, died Friday, September 2, 2011, at Rio Grande Regional Hospital in McAllen.
A funeral mass was held Sept. 5 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Sullivan City. Burial followed at Havana Cemetery in Havana.
MISSION - Luis E. Madrigal, 79, died September 4, 2011 at the Aurora House in Weslaco.
MISSION – A funeral service for Juanita Lira will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, September 6, 2011, at Ric Brown Family Funeral Home in Mission. Burial follows at Valley Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
MISSION - Ernest James “Jimmy” Cowart, 75, of Mission, passed away September 3, 2011 at The Bridges.
Mr. Cowart was born in 1935 in central Florida, the son of William and Agnes Cowart. He came to south Texas driving a truck in 1956 where he became a truck broker for Crumpler & Sons Truck Brokerage in Pharr, shipping produce out of the Rio Grande Valley, and later went into business for himself moving freight. He started TCI, a flatbed trucking operation, with his son in the late 1980s. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Edinburg.
MISSION – Agapito Corpus, 76, died Monday, September 5, 2011 at his residence in Mission.
Visitation will be held from 1 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 7, with a 7 p.m. rosary at Virgil Wilson Memorial Chapel in Mission.
MISSION - Rev. Samuel Sol Sr., 69, son of Cleofas Sol and Mercedes Astudillo, passed away August 31, 2011. He was born in Arriaga, Chiapas, Mexico on July 24, 1942.

MISSION - Alicia N. Garcia, 84, died Friday, September 2, 2011, at her Mission residence. She was born June 26, 1927 in Linares, Nuevo Leon, Mexico.
Dallas/Mission - Former television journalist Bert Lozano, 42, is being widely remembered for his talent and professionalism, for his sense of humor and for his strong devotion to his family and friends. Lozano, a Texas native, died Wednesday afternoon, August 31, 2011 at Methodist Medical Center in Dallas. He suffered cardiac arrest the preceding Sunday morning but never regained consciousness. He was surrounded by family and friends at his death.
MISSION – A funeral service for Adalberto Villarreal will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, September 2, 2011, at Rivera Funeral Home in Mission. Interment will be follow at Lord & I Cemetery in Palmview.
MISSION - Samuel Sol Sr., 69, died Wednesday, August 31, 2011, at Mission Regional Medical Center.
PENITAS – A funeral mass for Maria Mireles will be held at 12 Noon Friday, September 2, 2011, at San Martin de Porres Catholic Church in Alton. Burial will follow at Lord & I Cemetery in Palmview.
MISSION - Heliodoro Martinez, 45, died Thursday, August 31, 2011, at his Mission residence.
MISSION – A funeral service for Isidro Carr will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, September 2, 2011, at Ric Brown Family Funeral Home in Mission. Interment follows at Rio Grande Valley State Veterans Cemetery in Mission.
