MISSION - Jesus Singleterry, 49, died Sunday, Aug. 12, 2012 in Mission. Born in San Juan, he lived in Mission most of his life.
Mr. Singleterry is survived by a son, Jesus Singleterry Jr. of San Juan; mother, Herlinda Singleterry of McAllen; brothers, Rodolfo and Erasmo Singleterry of McAllen, Luis Singleterry Jr. of Edinburg and Luis Manuel Singleterry of Pharr; sisters, Criselda Singleterry, Belinda Singleterry of Edinburg, Esmeralda Aguilar of McAllen and Imelda Singleterry of Oklahoma.
MISSION – A funeral service was held for Benito Guerra Jr. on Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2012, at Flores Funeral Home Memorial Chapel in Mission. Burial followed at San Jose Cemetery in Mission.
MISSION – U.S. Army Sergeant Salvador Hernandez, Jr., 29, passed away Saturday, July 28, 2012 in Camp Red Cloud, Korea. He was born to Salvador Hernandez Sr. and San Juana Trevino on April 1, 1983 in Edinburg.
PALMVIEW - Sgt. Michael Anthony Salinas, 28, an active member of the U.S. Marine Corps, passed away Friday, July 27, 2012 in Hawaii. He was born on July 7, 1984 to Aurelio Salinas Sr. and Maria Anna Salinas in McAllen.
MISSION - Memorial service for James Boggs was held Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2012, at Ric Brown Family Funeral Home in Mission.
MISSION – A funeral mass for Noe Hernandez was held Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2012, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Mission. Burial followed at Lord and I Cemetery in Palmview.
MISSION – A funeral mass for Alvaro Hinojosa was held Saturday, Aug. 4, 2012 at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Mission. Burial followed at San Jose Cemetery in Mission.
MISSION - Graveside service for Canuto Rodriguez was held Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2012, at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Mission.
MISSION - Leola "Lee" Bushmer, 94, died Wednesday, July 25, 2012, at Solara Hospital in McAllen.
MISSION - Enrique "La Palma" Reyna, 81, passed away Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at Comfort House in McAllen.
He is survived by his children, Juan Reyna, Danny Reyna, Noelia Reyna-Garza, Diana Braham and Dora Reyna; and 13 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Reyna; parents, Reyes and Julia Reyna; and by 16 siblings.
