MISSION - Mission – Carlos “Red/Kinny” Guerra, 52, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2011, at the Comfort House in McAllen after a 10-year battle with brain cancer. He was a long-time resident of the Rio Grande Valley.
MISSION - Infant Shanty Trevino died Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2011, at McAllen Medical Center.
PENITAS - Cleotilde L. Garza, 87, left to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2011 at Doctors Hospital at Renaissance in Edinburg. She was born to Guadalupe Longoria Sr. and Cleotilde Martinez on December 18, 1923 in Penitas.
MISSION - Pastor Eliud Bocanegra, 63 entered the gates of heaven to be with his Savior early in the morning on Wednesday, October 19, 2011 at Mission Regional Medical Center.
He was a pastor for over 35 years in Madero and McAllen, and was the pastor at Iglesia Evangelica Cristiana in McAllen. He was born in Galeana, NL. Mexico.
MISSION – A funeral service for Rita Quintanilla will be held at 12 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2011, at Ric Brown Family Funeral Home in Mission. Burial follows at Rio Grande Valley State Veterans Cemetery.
MISSION – A graveside service for Dorothy Quaid will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, October 18, 2011, at Rio Grande Valley State Veterans Cemetery in Mission.

Funeral Mass for Ignacio Guzman will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 20, 2011, at San Martin de Porres Catholic Church in Alton. Interment follows at Valley Memorial Gardens in McAllen.
