MISSION - Jose Roberto De La Garza passed away Thursday, September 8, 2011 in McAllen. He was born on May 11, 1940 in Mission to Vicente and Amelia (Sandoval) de la Garza.
He is survived by his loving children, Robert James de La Garza of Mission, David Javier de la Garza of Paris, Michael Ray de la Garza of Kansas City, Missouri, and Laura Lee de la Garza of Mission; several brothers and sisters; and 12 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Gloria Mercedes de la Garza.
A funeral service will be held at Ric Brown Family Funeral Home on Tuesday, Sept. 13, at 10 a.m. followed by burial at Valley Memorial Gardens Cemetery in McAllen.
