SULLIVAN CITY - Beatriz F. Salinas, 93, peacefully entered into eternal rest to be with our Lord with her family by her bedside on Saturday, September 24, 2011 at The Village Care Nursing Home in McAllen.
Mrs. Salinas was born January 26, 1918 to Presiliano Flores and Cesaria Mendiola in Los Ebanos. She was a good and loving mother to her children, and a wonderful wife. She loved to sew and quilt for the home. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Survivors include her daughters, Albesa Ramon and husband Eliseo, Francisca Gutierrez and husband Romeo, and Noelia S. Olivarez; sons, Ines Salinas Jr. and wife Virginia and Gilberto J. Salinas and wife Hortencia; siblings, Arturo C. Flores and Antonia Solis; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Salinas was preceded in death by her husband, Ines Salinas, and a daughter, Amelia S. Zarate.
Visitation will be held Monday, Sept. 26, from 1-9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. prayer service at Ric Brown Family Funeral Home Chapel in Mission. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, September 27, at 2 p.m. at La Joya Mennonite Brethren Church. Burial will follow at Salinas Ranch Cemetery.
