OBIT: Robert Griffith Brown

MISSION - Robert Griffith Brown, 70, died Friday, Oct. 7, 2011.

Born April 29, 1941, in Binghamton, New York to Raymond and Helen Griffith Brown, he resided in Houston for many years and was employed with Dixie Chemical Co., Inc. He graduated with a doctorate in 1973 from Clarkson University.

He is survived by his wife, Sharon Myrick Brown of Mission; children, Christopher Brown and Griffith Brown and John and Liz Lee; and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice or to M.D. Anderson Cancer Center of Houston.
