SAN ANTONIO – Nora B. Holland, 86, passed away after a short illness on Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2011, at Vitas Hospice Care in San Antonio.  Her loving husband and family were with her at the time of her death.

Mrs. Holland was born in Antlers, Oklahoma on March 14, 1925 to William and Dora Walker. She was married to Oris E. Holland on April 3, 1947 and they resided in San Antonio the last 12 years, previously residin in Kerrville, McAllen, Mission and Raymondville.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Oris Holland; daughter, Patricia (Steven) Chandler of Bulverde; son, Mel Holland of Hollister, California; grandchildren, Liz Holland Arlington, Virginia, Kelsie Chandler of Atlanta, Georgia, Christopher Holland of Marble Falls; great-grandchildren, Nick Holland, Anthony Holland, and Sara Holland.

Viewing and visitation will be held at Funeral Caring, 2200 NW Loop 410, San Antonio, from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 26. Services and interment will follow at 1:30 p.m. at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Road, San Antonio.
