ALTON - Ofelia Quintero, 79, died Friday, Oct. 28, 2011, at Life Care Hospital in McAllen. She was born on Nov. 20, 1931 to Odilón Cavazos and Angelita Quintanilla in Mexico.
Survivors include children, Baldemar (Susana) Quintero of Alton, José Luis (María A.) Quintero of Donna, María Inés (Asencion) García of Alton, Angelita (Ramiro) Villarreal, Abel (María San Juan) Quintero of Reynosa, Bertha (Pablo) Basaldua of Donna; Juan (Marta) Quintero of Indiana, Lupita (José A.) Zamorano of Alton, and Santiago Quintero of Alton; and 34 grandchildren and 63 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, Oct. 31, at Templo Rey de Reyes in Alton. Interment follows at Lord & I Cemetery in Palmview.
