MISSION - Alejandro Franco, Sr., 76, passed away on Monday, Jan. 3, 2011 at Edinburg Regional Medical Center. He was born to Juan Franco and San Juanita Cuevas in Karnes City on Nov. 19, 1934.
Survivors include his children, Juan Franco, Graciela Escalon, Maria Estela Perez, Reynaldo Franco, Ricardo Franco, Maria Eugenia Ramos, Elvira Benavides, Alejandro Franco Jr., Damares Resendez and Beatriz Espinoza; siblings, Baldemar Franco, Saragoza Franco, Dora Franco, Rafaela Casillas and Guadalupe Franco; 23 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
A chapel service was held Jan. 5 at Virgil Wilson Memorial Chapel in Mission. Interment followed at Valley Memorial Gardens in McAllen.
