OBIT: Lizette Gonzalez

MISSION – Lizette Gonzalez, 13, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 3, 2011, at Doctor’s Hospital at Renaissance in Edinburg.

She was a student at Mission Jr. High, and won the hearts of all the faculty and staff.  Lizette always wore a smile, and was uplifting to everyone, even through her illness; she had a faith in God that was very mature and unwavering.  She enjoyed being with her family, especially her cousins.  Whenever she got to choose what the family would eat, she always chose Chinese food.  She will be deeply missed by everyone who got to meet her.

Survivors include her mother, Melva Gonzalez of Mission; father, Armando Gonzalez Jr. of Pharr; siblings, Lorena Gonzalez, Armando Gonzalez III, Alex Gonzalez, and Angel Gonzalez; maternal grandparents, Praxidiz and Angelita Pena; and paternal grandfather, Armando Gonzalez Sr.  She is also survived by a very large loving family and group of friends.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother Gloria Gonzalez.

A funeral service was held Monday, Nov. 7, at Camino de Santidad.  Burial followed at Garden of Angels Cemetery in Abram.  Services were under the direction of Ric Brown Family Funeral Home in Mission.
