MISSION – Nora Guzman, 60, went to meet her Lord on Nov. 3, 2011 after bravely fighting cancer.
She was born in Mission on Sept, 15, 1951 to Santos Guzman and Dolores Navarro.
Ms. Guzman never married or had children of her own, but she was a doting aunt, and her nephews and nieces will always remember her as the best aunt in the world. She was very social and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her brother, Santos (Vicky) Guzman Jr. of La Feria; nieces and nephews Xavier Guzman of San Antonio, Marissa G. (Andy) Cantu of Harlingen, Lisa Guzman, and Jaime Guzman of La Feria; and great-nephew, Andres Alejandro Cantu.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Santos and Dolores Guzman.
A funeral mass was held Nov. 7 at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Mission. Burial followed at Valley Memorial Gardens Cemetery in McAllen. Services were under the direction of Ric Brown Family Funeral Home in Mission.
The family requested memorial donations to be made to the Comfort House, 617 Dallas Avenue, McAllen, TX 78501.
