OBIT: David Garza

MISSION - David Garza, 90, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, Nov. 12, 2011, at Mission Rehabilitation Center.

Mr. Garza was born in Ojo de Agua and came from a pioneer family living in Texas for four generations. He was raised in Rincon Ranch near Granjeno where he enjoyed ranching and caring for his animals for most of his life. He will be deeply missed by all of his family.

He is survived by his children: Juan David (Isabel), Delia Montes (Ruben), Jesus (Connie) of Edinburg, Desiderio (Irene), and Joe J.D. (Liana) of Edinburg and his older sister, Leonor Webber of Alamo; 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 39 years, Maria Santos Garza and his daughter, Diana Cienfuegos.

The funeral mass will be held Tuesday, Nov. 15, at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Mission with interment following at Granjeno Cemetery.
