OBIT: Heriberto Garcia

LA JOYA - Heriberto Garcia, 89, left to be with the Lord on Monday, Nov. 28, 2011 at Mission Regional Medical Center. He was born to Sotero Garcia and Romana Rodriguez on March 16, 1922 in San Miguel de Camargo, Tamaulipas, Mexico.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 65 years, Evangelina Garcia; children, Alicia (Derly) Moreno, Edelmiro (Janie) Garcia, Jose Rolando (Lupita) Garcia, Magdalena Carmona, Jose Mario (Alicia) Garcia, Jose Luis (Margaret) Garcia, Gustavo Garcia, Ruben (Ofelia) Garcia, Roberto (Susana) Garcia, and Juan Manuel (Nelda) Garcia; 20 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Wednesday Nov. 30, and Thursday, Dec. 1, from 12 to 9 p.m. with a rosary recited at 7 p.m. at the Lord &I Memorial Chapel in Penitas.  The funeral mass will be celebrated Friday, Dec. 2, at 10 a.m. Our Lady Queen of Angel's Catholic Church in La Joya. Interment will follow at Lord & I Cemetery in Palmview.
