PALMVIEW – Gonzalo Covarrubia, 61, died Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2012, at Mission Regional Medical Center. He was born to Santos Covarrubia and Lydia Garza on May 5, 1950 in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico.
Mr. Covarrubia is survived by his wife, Patricia Perez; children, Jovanna Garcia, Ileana Guadalupe Covarrubia, Blanca Judy Jimenez, Daniel Perez, Feliberto Jimenez, Jose Angel Jimenez, and Jorge Jimenez; siblings, Gloria Bazan, Antonio Covarrubia, Santos Covarrubia, Francisca Ybarra, Olivia Guedea, Carolina Covarrubia and Juan Covarrubia; and 12 grandchildren
A funeral Mass was held Jan. 5 at Our Lady Queen of Angel's Catholic Church in La Joya. Interment followed at Lord & I Cemetery in Palmview.
