OBIT: Arturo Peña

MISSION - Arturo Peña, 62, died Friday, Dec. 30, 2011, at McAllen Medical Center. He was born in Mission on Feb. 4, 1949 to Arnulfo and Gregoria Rodriguez Peña.

Mr. Peña served in the U.S. Army as a Specialist Four.

He is survived by his wife, Maria Peña of California; brother, Arnulfo Peña; sisters, Enriqueta P. Flores, Mary Lozano and Anna Rodriguez, both of California; and step-daughters, Magda and Jasmina.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Maria Estela Gonzalez; and brothers, Matias Peña and Gilbert Peña.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, Jan. 6, at 1 p.m. at Rio Grande Valley State Cemetery in Mission.
