MISSION - Gudelia M. Pinon, 81, passed away peacefully on Jan. 2, 2012 at her residence in Mission after battling cancer.
She is survived by her children, Rafaela Cantu, Gerardo Calderon, Enrique Calderon, Norma Linda Swindle, Maria Natividad Piñon, Zoila Rosa Piñon, Teodoro T. Piñon, Juan G. Piñon and Maria Gudelia Piñon; 13 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; three sisters and one brother.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Teodoro Piñon; parents, Geronimo and Rafaela Martinez; and brothers, Vicente and Fidencio Martinez.
A funeral Mass will be held Friday, Jan. 6, at 2 p.m. at Our Lady of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Mission. Interment will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens Cemetery in McAllen.
