LOS EBANOS — Oralia G. Flores, 81, passed away, Saturday, Jan. 28, 2012 after a brief illness at Mission Regional Hospital.
Mrs. Flores had been a nurse for 34 years at Mission Hospital. She was very involved with her parish at St. Michael's Catholic Church where she served as a lay minister, lector, Eucharistic minister, and Catechist for youth and adults and assisted with the sacramental preparation for baptisms and communions.
She is survived by her daughter, Armandina Flores of Harlingen; sons, Eliseo Flores of San Benito, Alejandro Flores of Sharyland, and Ignacio Flores of Spring; brothers, Manuel Garcia, Francisco Garcia, her sisters, Consuelo Garza and Guadalupe Flores; and eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Anselmo Flores; parents, Manuel and Faustina Garcia; and brother, Roberto Garcia.
A funeral Mass was held Jan. 31 at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Los Ebanos. Burial followed at Los Ebanos Cemetery.
