OBIT: Maria Dolores Moreno

MISSION - Maria Dolores Moreno, 84, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 2, 2012, at Rio Grande Regional Hospital in McAllen.

She was a lifetime member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.

Mrs. Moreno is survived by her husband of 62 years, Heliodoro Moreno of Mission; children, Regina Funk of McAllen, Maria Guadalupe Wilson of McAllen, Vickie Hoffman of Mission, Alma Lahm of Kansas, Rosie Moreno of Corpus Christi, Louie Moreno of Mission, and Patty Reddell of Corpus Christi; siblings, Ramon Lopez, Bonifacio Lopez, and Ramona Garcia; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren;.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ignacio and Francisca Lopez; brother, Juan Lopez; and sister, Lupe Barrios.

A funeral mass was held on Feb. 6 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Mission. Burial followed at Valley Memorial Gardens Cemetery in McAllen.
