MISSION - John Arthur Pankratz (1939-2012) passed away Thursday, Feb. 9, 2012 after a long battle with cancer.
Mr. Pankratz was the founder of KVMV, the Valley's first Christian radio station.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Carolyn Pankratz; children, Karl Pankratz, Deborah Pepin, Steven Pankratz, and Rebecca Markham; sister, Dorothy Taggart; and 15 grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, Feb. 19, at 3 p.m. at Conway Avenue Baptist Church in Mission.
Memorial donations may be made to The John Pankratz Memorial Fund set up at IBC bank. The fund will be used for various mission projects important to Mr. Pankratz.
