MISSION - Ricardo Olivarez, 60, passed away Friday, Feb. 24, 2012 at McAllen Medical Center. He was born on September 25, 1951 in Mission.
He is survived by his wife, Rosa Olivare;z ; daughters, Vanessa Dalia Garcia, Vernee Denise Ortiz, Velma Julissa Ortiz, and Viola Iris Palma; siblings, Arturo Olivarez, Norma Silva, Cesar Adrian Olivarez, and Alma Villarreal; and 10 grandchildren.
His parents, Arturo and Aurora Olivarez, preceded him in death.
The funeral mass will be held Thursday, March 1, at noon at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Mission. Interment follows at the Rio Grande Valley State Veterans Cemetery in Mission.
