MISSION – Violet M. Hall, 89, passed away Monday, April 2, 2012 at McAllen Heart Hospital.
She was preceded in death by her husband C. R. ”Dick” Hall; siblings Burl Mays, Gladys Shurtz, Margaret Niekrenz, Russell Mays, Vernon Mays and Roberts Mays; children, Bud Hall and Tom Bo Hall; and grandson, Tommy Hall.
She is survived by her daughter, Rose Sinks (Rev. Charles Sinks); 10 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 14 great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by Lupe Segura and Chela Garcia, who she always thought of as her daughters.
Violet and Dick owned and operated Hall Hotel and real estate office for 60 years. She was a sustaining member at Wesley Methodist Church in Mt. Vernon, IL. For the last 60 years she was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Mission. She was a member of the Mission Junior Service League and the Friday Book Review Club. Violet was a loving mom, a super loving grandmother and will be greatly missed.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 3, at Ric Brown Family Funeral Home from 3 to 9 p.m. with a prayer service at 7 p.m. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, April 4, 10 a.m. at Ric Brown Family Funeral Home in Mission. Burial will follow at Laurel Hill Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Ric Brown Family Funeral Home of Mission.
