OBIT: Francisca R. Garcia

MISSION - Francisca R. Garcia, 86, passed away Tuesday, May 1, 2012 at McAllen Medical Center. Mrs. Garcia was born on August 3, 1925 in Mission.

Mrs. Garcia is survived by her husband, Deacon Ismael Garcia; daughters, Oralia Jimenez, Olga Salazar, Sara Garcia, Irma Perez, Carolina Perez, and Frances Garcia; siblings, Lydia Diaz, Criselda Sandoval, Aminta Navarro, Maria Cantu, Jose Herrera, and Max Herrera; and 15 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her sons, Ismael Garcia Jr., Nazario Garcia, and Jose N. Garcia; and parents, Nazario Rubalcava and Francisca Soliz.

A funeral mass will be held Thursday, May 3, at 10 a.m. at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Mission. Interment will follow at Catholic Cemetery in Mission.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Michael Jimenez, Mike Garcia, Albert Salazar, Raymond Perez, Steven Alaniz, Ismael Garcia III, Joey Guerra, and Raulito Garcia.
