MISSION – Emma C. Arriaga, 87, passed away at Valley Regional Hospital in Brownsville on May 4, 2012.
Mrs. Arriaga was born on October 15, 1924, in Falfurrias, but lived most of her adult life in Mission.
She is survived by children, Adrian Aron Arriaga of McAllen, Alma Ines Rendon of Brownsville, and Arnold Abad Arriaga of Mission; sister, Estela Esquivel of San Antonio; and five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Adolfo G. Arriaga.
Visitation will be held Monday, May 7, from 5 to 9 p.m. with a rosary at 7 p.m. at Flores Funeral Home Memorial Chapel in Mission. The funeral mass will be held Tuesday, May 8, at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Mission. Interment will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens in McAllen.
Pallbearers will be Adrian Arriaga, Arnold Arriaga, Judge Eloy Vera, Ruben Rendon, Homer Esquivel, and Rene Esquivel.
