SULLIVAN CITY - Horacio Gutierrez, 70, passed away Thursday, May 3, 2012, at Mission Regional Medical Center. Mr. Gutierrez was born to Horacio Gutierrez Sr. and Jovita H. Gutierrez on July 2, 1941 in Diaz Ordaz, Mexico.
Survivors include his wife, Maria Concepcion Gutierrez; children, Luis Lauro Gutierrez, Jose Alberto Gutierrez, Horacio Gutierrez Jr., Emerardo Gutierrez, Homero Gutierrez, Maricela Perez, David Gutierrez, Mirta Arrellano, Jose Ricardo Lopez, Adriana Hernandez, Eddyberto Gutierrez, Jerardo Gutierrez, Priscilla Gutierrez, and Gustavo Gutierrez; siblings, Lucia Flores, Angelica Diaz, Canuta Salinas, Glafira Fuentes and Ignacio Gutierrez; and 36 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Rosa Elva Gutierrez; daughter, Dianira Gutierrez; son, Cesar Gutierrez; and his parents.
The funeral mass was held on Saturday, May 5, at Our Lady Queen of Angels Catholic Church in La Joya. Interment followed Sullivan City Memorial Cemetery.
