OBIT: San Juanita Aguirre

LA JOYA/MISSION - San Juanita “Janie” Aguirre, 64, passed away at Mission Regional Medical Center on Wednesday, May 9, 2012.

Mrs. Aguirre was born on February 2, 1948 in La Joya.  She was employed by the La Joya ISD for 20 years as a teacher's assistant.

She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Tomas Aguirre; sisters, Rose Martinez, Mary Loya, and Belinda Gonzalez; and brothers, Abel Zamora and Ramon Zamora.

Visitation will be held Friday, May 11, from 1 to 9 p.m. with a rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. at Flores Funeral Home Memorial Chapel in Mission. The funeral mass will be held Saturday, May 12, at noon at Our Lady Queen of Angels Catholic Church in La Joya. Interment will follow at Garden of Angels Cemetery in Abram.
