MISSION – Dario Gonzalez, 84, of Mission, died Friday, May 11, 2012, at Comfort House in McAllen. He was born on October 25, 1927 in McAllen to Regino and Amalia Gonzalez.
Surviving siblings are Rosita Gonzalez and Thomas Gonzalez of McAllen.
Dario was preceded in death by his son, Juan Rene.
Mr. Gonzalez is survived by his wife of 58 years, Elfida Gonzalez; children, Homer Gonzalez, Melba Fuentes, Hilda Guerra, Nelda Gonzalez, Robert Gonzalez and Velma Underwood; siblings, Rosita Gonzalez and Thomas Gonzalez; and 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Monday, May 14, from 4 to 9 p.m. with a rosary at 7 p.m. at Virgil Wilson Mortuary in Mission. The funeral mass will be held Tuesday, May 15, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Mission at 10 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requested that a memorial donation be made to Comfort House, 617 Dallas Ave. of McAllen in his name.
